About our Fishery - Lake Ontario is home to some of the best fresh water, big game fishing in North America!

Brown Trout are a feisty, spring and early summer bulldog. Weighing up to 34 pounds they will be taken primarily in shallow water with surface trolling techniques. Usually tends to be a time of year when there is lots of rod action!

Steelheads /Rainbow Trout are the acrobats of the trout and salmon! They spend nearly as much time in the air as in the water once they are hooked. A challenge for the most jaded of fisherman! They will weigh up to the mid 20 pound class.

Lake Trout are a tenacious, deep water critter. They are known for their love of deep water and stubborn fight. When they are on the bite, we are hard pressed to keep up with the rods! They come in sizes up to 39 pounds with 8-15 pounds being common. They are most prevalent May through August.

Coho Salmon alias "the twister", a silver beast making his appearance April and May up to 10 pounds, and again July through September up to 30 pounds.

Atlantic Salmon are not common but well worth the wait. If you are fortunate enough to tangle with one of these finny speedsters, up to 25 pounds, you will have a trophy well worth putting on the wall.

King Salmon are truly an adversary deserving of his name, ranging in size to nearly 50 pounds, you will think you have hooked a freight train. After you have landed one one of these big guys you will know you have earned it! Be prepared for a battle of half an hour or more. The reward of grilled salmon fillets will be almost as satisfying as the fish stories you'll have to tell.

Smallmouth Bass are the best kept secret of the south shore of Lake Ontario. Ranging up to 5 pounds, this scrappy, tasty fighter can be the object of your charter or a bonus! Ask the captain for details.

Trophy Walleyes are a very specialized fishery available in May and early June. Ranging up to 14 pounds, with 10 pounders common. We offer this as a trophy trip only, take one for the wall, release the rest to perpetuate the fishery. The larger fish are not nearly as good table fare as the small 2-5 pound fish. (Any of the smaller fish can be kept toward your limit.) These are evening trips, which last until the wee hours of the morning.

** Check our photo section for examples of these fish.
